Our limitations
We have already suggested why you should choose us.

In our spirit of openness and honesty we’d like to share with you the things we either don’t do so well, or choose not to do.

HOME...

  • We are not skilled in electrics, plumbing or building apart from the basics you would expect in the general maintenance of a home and pool.
  • We cannot be described as expert gardeners, however we are very happy to mow, rake, weed and prune.

In summary, we are practical and conscientious home minders, willing to turn our hand at most general household and domestic duties.

PETS...

  • We are not vets, however, we have cared for many pets with various medical conditions and are happy to discuss your individual requirements.
  • We do not cut nails but we are experienced and confident in washing and grooming.    
  • We are not farmers, however, we are willing to provide basic farm animal care and we both ride.

PEOPLE...

  • We are competent house sitters and loving pet minders.  From time to time we are asked to look after elderly relatives or teenagers - we prefer not to do this!


TRANSPORT...

  • UK: We have our own vehicle.  It is a standard car however, so if your property is remote and requires 4WD for access we would appreciate the use of your vehicle.  We both have full, clean driving licences and would be happy to cover any excess insurance charges.  
  • Europe/Worldwide: The use of a car during your house sit would be welcomed and as per the UK, depending upon your location, it may be essential for grocery shopping etc.  Again, we would be happy to cover any excess insurance charges.  This arrangement has worked well on all of our previous overseas house sits.
  • Airports: We may need collection/drop off from your local airport.  Many homeowners have found it convenient for us to take them to the airport too -  and pick them up again of course!  We are always pleased to help in any way we can.
