It is impossible to speak highly enough of Clive and Ali as house sitters, because they were absolutely marvellous.
We met them through friends in Widecombe, who have had them to stay several times, and we were delighted to find that they were free for the 5 weeks over Christmas that we were to be in Australia. We introduced them to our near neighbours, who maintained contact and found them charming and entertaining.
They kept in touch with us; one astonishing email of theirs showed friends and neighbours, whom Clive and Ali had filmed in their own homes, wishing us Happy Christmas. There was even a message from our brass door knocker - the lion’s head animated, speaking and growling! It was hilarious, and quite beyond the call of duty.
There was a general air of the house having been well looked after. In fact, in many ways we found to be better than we had left it. They also picked us up from the station when we returned, and delayed their departure to do so.
We would give Clive and Ali the highest recommendation to anyone lucky enough to find them available. They are kind, thoughtful, practical, efficient, and absolutely faultless - but also as a bonus, great people to know.
